Just don’t say you are Christian….. but act like a Christian – Dana Neo (my niece)

This morning when I logged in to my MSN (any blogger wanna add me?) saw my niece putting up that message. She’s a born Christian but both her parents are convert Christian and a very holy type. That message is not directed to me (she better don’t!!!) but I felt ashame of myself.

Sometimes I just wonder, as a Christian, is it compulsory for us to attend Sunday Service? Will God punish us for not attending mass yet claim and acted like we are Christian? I am one of them. I don’t attend mass except on Christmas morning and occasionally. I used to tell 5th sis (faithful follower), “I don’t mind whatever ppl say, I’m not even baptised yet” and so she thinks it’s just a excuse (again!).

How many of you pray before you eat? I does that all the time during lunch but always forgot to pray during dinner. A bit crazy huh. Sadly to say I don’t have the habit to pray any other time. My Question again, “Is it compulsory for Christian to pray?”

Few weeks ago, I tagged along my 5th sister to a pot luck organized by their Care Groups. I know I have to prepare a few excuses when the questions pop up like “How come I never see you in church before?” “Which Care Group you are in?”. Bingo!!! So I play tai chi (turn and twisting) with them again. wakakakaa…

But as a parent, I held my responsibility to see that my childrens had the same religious education brought to them as what I’ve received during my younger days. I encouraged them all the way and even attended Sunday school together with them as part of the excuses compensation. (See, I attended mass wat) At least I think I’ve done a good part being a Christian and a role as a mother.

On the other had, I’m proud that I’ve brought up Princess better than I was. She reads her Bible every night without failed and all I have reached is Genesis and now the Bible is collecting dusts. Heck, I love childrens’ Bible!!! At least the fonts are larger and came with colourful picture illustrations.

Quite a straight forward statement. Anyway, so long never get flaming liao. I am prepared for some today. Just remember to pray after you flame me. Yeah?

Are you superstitious?

This kettle is just an ordinary kettle. In the mouth of the kettle stand a passion fruits bulb and flowers. Inside the kettle is some old wife tales and a pork belly which was cooked with white peppercorns.

According to superstitions, couples that has been expecting and getting a row of girls and wanted badly a boy will be able to put a stop to it by consuming the pork belly. It goes vice versa if you had a row of boys in hope that the next pregnancy will be the opposit sex. But they don’t gurantee you don’t get a…. gay!

Another superstition, wife that had just gone thru a miscarriage or repeated history of miscarriages that wanted to put a stop to it should consume the pork belly. Of course with the anticipation from the husband too.

Why does it has to be a kettle? Can you imagine what does the spout looks like? No/yes? It’s the shape of the PENIS!!! And the pot probably resemble their beer belly *ekwwwww*. The flowers are a symbol of love and passion fruits is the symbol of fertility cos they contain lots of tiny seeds in them. Hmm…. it does make sense whoever invented this old tale.

Quite an interesting bits of old tale here. It’s up to you to try them or believe them.

Reward Point Card

Yesterday with only 10 bucks in my purse, feeling a bit sad cos no one wanna lend me 50 bucks *sob sob*. When I reach home received this in my mailbox.

Wah, so darn happy! Jusco gave me rebates again.

For those ppl that doesn’t have Jaya Jusco (JJ) at where they stay, they are one of the biggest shopping chain around Klang Valley and other states too. But I think Sabah and Sarawak doesn’t have JJ.

The catch is, you pay RM12 per annum and became a member there. Each ringgit you spent, you get one point. With those points accumulated, you can redeem for a selection of gift from their magazines or you can redeem their cash voucher to be used in their departmental store and earn points from there again. See the catch? This is what we called money make money.

On top of that, if you spent more than RM500 within 6 months they gave you 5% (during normal day) or 3% (during sales) rebates and converted to cash vouchers. See the catch again? This is what we called earn while you shop.

And the best part of being a JJ member, you are invited to their members day sales. This is only for members (but can bring along 2 friends). They have many many good bargain and prices are thrown relatively low with lots of discounts store wide. And during members day sales every RM100 spent, they will give you RM10 cash voucher on top of the usual points accumulative and cash rebate. The last sales I went, I spent around RM800 in 3 hours.

That is what I get.

If you are not a member yet, go join now! If you are a existing member, welcome to the crazy money spending shopping club!!!

And with this RM20, I took Ghostie advice. Went to their supermarket. Waited there till 9.30pm when they would put up the 50% tag and get ourself a teriyaki chicken. Poor children. You should see how they globble down the whole chicken within minutes. They are so hungry!

*sob, sob* <~~~~ this is tears of joy. Finally God answer my prayer and drop 20 bucks from the sky! So happy until can die lidat. *sob sob* <~~~~ and this is tears of sadness. To all my readers out there "YOU ALL ARE SO CRUEL!!!! Willing to see Queen eat expired KFC, borrow from the ah long and STARVE TO DEATH!!!!"

MV Doulos is back in Port Klang, Malaysia

MV Doulos was built in 1914, two years after Titanic’s ill-fated voyage. She was first named Medina as freighter serving the Atlantic; during World War II and later they renamed the ship the Roma, and converted her into a passenger ship and later on renamed it as MV Franca C. and converted her into a motor vessel and a cruise liner. 63 years later, in her current role as Doulos, she is manned by a volunteer crew and visits sea ports world-wide.

In every port that the ship visits, conferences are held in the ship lounges which promotes international understanding and world-wide education. Among the subject topics are leadership, family life, marriage, youth training and cultural show.

Do catch the opportunity to see this vessel, buy books and share experiences with crewmembers of the vessel which is widely acclaimed as the ‘floating Book Fair’. The fair has about 6,000 titles of books for sale, covering a wide range of subjects, including science, cookery, sports, technology, classic literature, children’s books and a large selection of Christian titles.

The following are events happening onboard the ship. (Taken from Kimmysia and from the brochure)

Congratulations to June married couples

Short talk: 2nd day of using the tummy trim lotion. I can see my toes again!!!

Came across this chee mui’s wristband made for Piearre and Janice during their wedding.

I think they are cute, very affordable and very easy to made. And the best part is to whoever (ahem!) wedding is just around the corner, I’ve contribute one idea here for you. Nice ya?

Anyhow, this month alone I have 4 weddings but sadly to say, didn’t get invited to one of the wedding (Angela!!!!), then have to skip the other 2 (Subathra, I’m so sorry. Jennifer I’ll make it to your matrimony!) and then just attended one few weeks ago (Caroline, you look so gorgeous!)… of course burnt a hole in my hubby’s pocket. The biggest wedding angpow I’ve ever given. As far as I can remember, there is one more coming in September, October and December.

Guess, we have come to the limit of adulthood and maturity. Slowly our peer group of friends or relatives will surprise you with a e-card, sms or even the ole traditional way of announcing their big day. Another 20 years down the road, you will be slap with invitation cards again. This time of course not your friend (wah liao wei) but their children’s who is getting married!

I’m not sure about big city but back in my hometown, my dad got invited for so and so children’s wedding. For my case during my wedding dinner, 99.8% of the guest are all aliens. 0.2% is either my relative or my friends. And no doubt, the aliens are all my parents friends. Isn’t that silly?

I always dreamt of having a garden wedding. It looks almost like a fairy tale. The arch…. the flowers petals all over the aisle…. the cozy and intimate environment…. But I know it’s imposibble to held one in our humid country. But it could make possible by having mist fans around the canopy. Most importantly, to be surrounded by your love ones, close buddies and mother nature. Nature???? Now don’t get me started with HAZE!!! *urgh….

Cemerlang, Gemilang, Temberang!!!

Check out Malaysianbar. Our Prime Minister has got 10 traffic summons. Now, this is no big deal. We all got summons for various traffic offences. Then we go all teary eyes and plead for a discount. Pay the discounted sum and merrily drive away to commit yet another offence.

Pak Lah, who was unaware of the summonses issued under his name, said he would settle all the summonses totalling RM3,300 after he was informed about it by Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan and after several Chinese newspapers reported the matter Saturday.

Was he driving the cars at the time of the offences were made? (Or was it his drivers that are to be blamed for this embarrasing situation.) I presume these drivers are not your ordinary Ali, Bala or Chee Bie but members of the POLICE force too, if they are the culprits!

Traffic police have problems sending summons or inform the public that they have summons. How many times have we heard that we have not received any summons through mails but when we check 1 or 2 years later we found that we have committed traffic offenses that we forgot where we committed it. Can’t Pak Lah see that this is one of the biggest inefficiencies for the traffic department? He even have summons dated way back in 2002. Yowzah! I’ve face them myself when I received a summons last week for some speeding offences exactly one year ago. This that what they called themself “‘Cekap, Amanah dan Mesra?” Pui! Pui!

Check out Pak Lah’s summary of offences:

Now the thing that make me tulan is he get maximum 70% discount on most of the summons whereby we (public and boh lui ppl) get only 50%. It is so unfair. Not fair! Not fair! So this is what you called by double standard?

………………………….

Update – 22 June 06

If you are not good in mental calculation, get a calculator and sort out this simple sum. Pak Lah has got maximum of 90% discount for one of his summons. How can!!!!

Bringing the Worldcup into the Bedroom

It’s the football fever again and no doubt everyone is trying to cash in World Cup theme merchandise. You may check out Kings Confectionary near you for their wide range of cakes and over the weekend, spotted some ice-cream too. Dem annoying all those balls!

As very well known, German has been preparing for six years for the tournament that begins today. For many fans, sex is moreof a concern that battalions. The country’s iconic sex store, Beate Uhse, is selling “sporty vibrators”, a ball stuffed with lingerie in various team colours.

Germany 2006 is warming up to be the sexiest World Cup ever with the kick off from three superstars – Germany Michael Ballack (*droolzzzz) and Oliver Kahn and England’s David Beckham. And recently the German erotic retailer tried to capitalise on the players’ extraordinary sex appeal by launching a line of vibrators ‘represented’ as Michael B, OllieK, and David B.

I can’t understand why is the vibrator is not shape like a penis. Don’t all vibrator look like that?

It’s ad claims: “The players muscular torsos arouse women’s fantasies. They dream about spending an hour between the sheets with their fantasy man.” Oh, now true it is. Anyway, they are famous people. Don’t you think these hot-blooded male celebrity would be flattered to be represented by such sexy symbols?

If I ever got hold of the vibrator, i could cheesing announce that tonight I’m having sex with Michael B. 😉

06.06.06

There is a Woman living in UK who is actually due today is freaking out and was planning for an induce for fears to give birth to an anti-Christ baby. Poor lass! She needs a nice sensible husband to tell her that the anti-christ would be 2000 years late for his delivery appointment so stop worrying and go back to sleep.

I wonder if she will even name the baby Damien?

The lady doesn’t seem to realize that the majority of babies are not born on their “due date” and that the “date” set is only an estimate. Since doctors won’t induce her, she could always spend the 06.06.06 watching the remake of “The Omen” which is screening today.

I remember anti-Christ even mentioned millenium year is dooms day. That was 6 years ago and we are still here with the coming and surviving of Mr Tsunami, Ms Katrina and Ms Rita.

But for the chinese 06.06.06 is an auspicious day to get married but I would think 08.08.08 make a better hit 😉 . And the sad part is rumours has been going round that The Church of Satan is going to have a congress in Manado (Indonesia) on the 06.06.06. I thought this satanic worship only happen in USA and other countries but this certainly is new just behind our backyard. So sad 🙁 .

Well, lets just wait to read what’s on headline tomorrow.

Effendi: We’re in talks with Disneyland

By SIM LEOI LEOI

PUTRAJAYA: It’s confirmed! The Government is in talks with Disneyland officials in Tokyo and in the US to lure the international icon to set up a theme park in Johor.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mohd Effendi Norwawi said yesterday that the Government was exploring the options.

“We are talking to both Tokyo and US Disneyland. We have to see which one is the more realisable option for us,” he told newsmen yesterday after launching the Economic Census 2006 in Putrajaya.

“This is because we want to make sure that the Southern Corridor is comprehensively developed with theme parks and hotels,” he said, in response to talk that preliminary meetings were being held to get Disneyland to Johor.

Meanwhile, in Johor, the idea of Mickey Mouse and his gang frolicking in Nusajaya has generated much excitement. Read more here.

My thought on the above:

  1. Singapore wants to open Las Vegas Casinos to entice Maysians to spend and gamble so we build Disneyland in turn..so we see which one will draw in the crowds and money.
  2. I wonder if really Disneylands are build here as well .. those Water Theme Park .. in few other places .. what will happen to them ar? Eventually die off? Checking the official website, it cost averagely RM 200 per ticket per day just to enter the park and enjoy the facilities. Even if we give a discount 50% Malaysia Boleh discount, the rate can still be very pricey especially when it is a family outing. Even the Sunway Lagoon entrance fees people already ‘kow peh kow boh’ already. – by Pcyeoh
  3. How many Disneyland are there in the whole wide world? Yes, you can even count them using only one hand. Do you ever wonder why they are only a handful of them? It has nothing to do with the 960 hectares of lands or the RM 2 billion in investment. Except for Singapore who have no such land space unless we sell them our sand to create that 960 hectares (now you know why they want to buy the sand from us so badly) such theme parks which is heavy in investment needs the critical mass and technical know how to sustain and grow its existence. What is Johore? They couldn’t even do a good job in maintaining the only Safari Park in Malaysia. I think all the animals there just packed up their bags and left town. Those poor camels who survived the blazing Sahara Desert only to die in our Boleh Desert. What happened to their their grandiose plan to develop Desaru into a world class beach resort? And here they want to talk about Disneyland just because they have 960 hectares of land in their pocket. – by Pcyeoh
  4. Actually I am thinking about all the poor souls in the MICKEY MOUSE, DONALD DUCK, MINNIE MOUSE … whatever in our humid weather conditions. I do hope these souls do not suffocate at all. Donald Duck who has lost his pants somewhere is definitely not coming here to lose his shirt. But Singapore is also hot and humid, and they have companies willing to spend megabucks to build and operate the Integrated Resorts there.Oh, I forgot – IRs will have casinos, and aircon 24/7!

Ooopss… and today news:

By: Sirgalahad

“Walt Disney Park and Resorts spokesman Lisa Haines told Reuters: “There are no existing discussions in Malaysia and we currently have no plans for a Disney-branded resort development in that country.”………….. read full news here

A roll call, please, of those parties in Malaysia which end up looking stupid over this:

Effendi Norwawi – told reporters that Malaysia was exploring options to develop the southern corridor into a tourist hub. He said: “We have been in discussions with Tokyo and also with Disney in the US.”

Pak Lah – according to an AFP report, he confirmed that Malaysia has met a group interested in investing in the project. He said: “Actually, I have not spoken to the Disney people. But there is a group who has shown some interest in getting Disneyland to be there. It is just a preliminary and there is nothing more to say about it.”

Perhaps, Pak Lah comes off looking the best in all this. As for The Edge and Effendi Norwawi – a visit to the headmaster’s office seems to be called for!:)”

My thought on the above:

  1. If Malaysia Disneyland needs clowns, they can find plenty in Parliament.

Apparently, I’ve read that Hong Kong Disneyland are not making money. Attendance are low but their revenue still ok. Will this happen to Malaysia Mickeyland? I doubt not as we are squeeze in between Singapore and Thailand. It is still cheaper for them to fly/drive here.

Whatever it is, I do hope Disney will reconsider as I’m a growup kid. 🙂

A Simple Golf Swing

Tips from the not-so-pro golfer for starter:

Head down to any golfer’s shop and they have ranges of clubs for you to choose. Let them know your budget.

Finding the right golf bag can certainly be a challenge sometimes. You want a big enough bag to obviously fit all your clubs in, but you also want something you’ll be able to carry around if you’re walking 18 holes.

Shoes – It’s perfectly legal to play with naked stompers, but you’ll probably draw some odd looks and comments from starters and pros—even though they’ll be backslapping guys wearing shirts to shame Duffy Waldorf. You could try telling them that going au naturel was once au-kay at Augusta National—Shoeless Sam Snead learned the game barefoot and played nine practice holes that way at The Masters in the late 1930s, shooting 2-under par.

Glove – A proper golf swing can best be made possible if you have a proper grip. Feel is the variable factor in the grip and a big part of feel can sometimes be as easy as the correct golf glove. Glove quality begins with cabretta leather for longer-lasting softness and performance.

With this three minimum equipment, you are now ready to swing at the driving range.

I thought this looks like a horse racing field.

Buy 150 balls for starter as you are bount to hit 50% of them at 2meter range. As the saying goes, “Practise make perfect.”

Iron 7 will be more suitable for driving range. At least, that’s what I prefered.

In developing your golf swing, you must first remember that all your shots won’t be perfect instantly. For beginners developing their first swing or for more advanced golfers who wish to refine their current swing, it’s going to take time and practice to get the perfect golf swing.

Before you swing the club, you want to make sure you’re holding the golf club correctly. If you’re right handed, make sure, as you’re gripping the club, that your right hand is below your left and you’re wrapping your right hand around the shaft of the club and around the thumb of your left hand. There’s another way of holding your club. It all depends on who your coach is. Of course mine is Tiger Woods style ;).

Lauzy cameraman!!! Captured at the wrong time too early.

There’s really no correct distance in how far from the ball you have to stand. Make sure you just not crowding the ball. As for me, I approach the ball and stand at whatever distance feels most comfortable.

As you’re eyeing up your shot, getting ready to swing, position your body weight so most of it’s on your back leg. This will help you get more power behind your swing. Keep your body straight and your knees slightly bent. As you bring the club back to take your swing, bring the club back slowly keeping your head down and eyes fixed on the ball. I know a lot of people who actually look slightly behind the ball and end up taking a huge chunk of grass out from behind the actual location of their ball.

The perfect body posture after a swing. Ya! Thanks to the camerawomen. Bah!

For drives I bring my driver back with a wider angle in reference to my body than with an iron. I bring the iron back almost parallel to my body. Still keeping your head down and eyes on the ball, bring the club back down and through to the ball. Follow all the way through with your shot keeping your shoulders square. Don’t lift your head or take your eyes off the position the ball was laying until you see green. Once you see the grass where your ball was sitting, you can raise your head. Also, make sure to stay nice and relaxed before you swing. If you tense up, you won’t hit the ball as well as you could of.

You won’t know one day when I have a Jr. Tiger Woods competing in the PGA Tour.
