Trick or Treating Night

(Warning: Overload with lotsa awesome pictures again.)

Points to Ponder: Ever wonder why on Halloween you have to go from door to door with your goodies bag shouting Tick Trick or Treat asking for sweets?

A small group of Hallomooners!

Children is divided into groups with names such as Pirates, Witches, Zombies, Mummies, Vampires and I can’t remember the other 2 groups.

One of the group.

Introducing……

The Witches. Tried to get them to do some roaring post. In return they gave me the peace sign *haiz… Sometimes girls is so sissy. That’s eldest princess standing first from your left. Handmade robe with velvet hat and pumpkin stitching. psst… she’s wearing my black dress too. lol. Thank goodness it was a spagetti strap dress. I just knob it and violaaaa.

Pirates of the Carribean

Adult: Hey, kiddo, wanna fight? I’ve got hook. What you have?

Prince: Huh, you gotta kidding me?

Prince: I’ve got gun and now I stole your hook. muahaaahaaa….

Adult: Oh, sucks! I lost πŸ™

And we have Geisha, Fairies and Dracular too.

Yes! He’s a dracular. Chis, not scarry also. Wait till you see this.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

Time for trick or teat treat around the neighbourhood. Instead of shouting trick or treat, we sing this…

(sing to the tune of Rain, rain go away. What? You dunno the song? tsk… tsk…) It’s Halloween, smell my feet. Give me something good to eat.

Did you notice a orange and black balloon on the gate? Those are the neighbours who is participating in the Trick or Treating session. We don’t simply go and ring everybody’s door bell and shout TRICK or TREAT. I think it’s a good way to indicate the participant?

Fat Chubby Boy Doremon was in shock.

Lack of disipline Hallomooners!!! They just push each other and grab hands full of sweets. Some goes for 2nd helping.

“Don’t come any nearer or I shall kill you!!!”

Hallomooners was given priority of safe road all the time.

You know how crazy is drivers on Malaysian road. We don’t want to see one of the bloody Vampire under the Mat Rempit wheel.

The whole night we was out trick or treating around the neighbourhood. We get the same goodies.

Pirate of the carribean: Aw! Not again. JELLY!!!

The Witch: This bag is too heavy!!!

Jojo the clown: Opie (as in “open” the sweets)

Oh, talking about Jo-jo the clown. That’s Baby Princess. πŸ™ Forgot to take her pic. But I’ve got one shot of her in a group photo.

“Sorry, we are out of sweets. But I’ve got a orange and celery. Who want?”

That’s all for the night of Trick or Treating. We missed the costume parade but seeing other kids with even cooler costume, I don’t think we’ll win anything. And since this is an outdoor activity we’ll give the pinala a missed πŸ™ It’s just impossible to hit a pinala at the basketball court.

Currently we are intoxicated by sucrose and the kids has turn out hyperactive over the weekend!!!

This is a mountain high of sweetssss!!! Thank goodness I don’t have sweet tooth.

Munching on a Healthy Diet

What is usually on your mind when you have a sudden craving to munch something in between meals or on the move, let say while travelling in the car? I’ll go for Tong Garden roasted almonds. If you think they are just for satisfying your craving, you’re in for a surprise! These tasty nuts tidbits pack tons of essential nutrients in one very delicious package.

Almonds are the best whole food source of vitamin E, phosphorus and zinc. They also contain more magnesium than oatmeal or even spinach. (I hope Popeye is reading this!)

I used to munch on Snickers Almonds when I was expecting my 3rd child. The folic acid in almonds not only good for unborn child, it may help reduce the risk of cervical cancers and cardiovascular disease.

Other than munching on almonds, they tasted great when added to your cooking. My all time favourite recipes is stir Fried Rice with raisins and sprinkle some toasted almond flakes before serving. The toasted almond gave the fried rice a added crunch.

The nutrient fact and yummilicious taste offered by almonds is not only awesome, wait till you find out how great the Almond Abs diet is to help trim away that stuborn and flabby abdomen. The next time you had cravings for munchies, pick up a pack of almonds snack instead of MSG rich potato chips. Start a healthy life right away.

In Conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya….

… I did not scout around Ramadhan Baazar :(. Instead, I went for Ramadhan Buka Puasa Buffet in Holiday Inn Subang.

Thank goodness they gave us a private room to share with 2 other family. I must remind you the nightmare eating with child under age 5.

The food? Gosh, don’t even mentioned. We make a wrong choice. We should go for the International Buffet instead.

We paid RM68 (excluding ++) per person and all we eat is this.

The love of my live *ngek :D. Tips on how to choose a fresh oyster: The flesh must be wet and juicy (*cough*) and not dry and shrink and stick to the shell.

A Drizzle of lemon juice, wasabi & pickle ginger. Emm…em….

Wishing all Muslimin & Muslimat (Male & Female) a

In Conjunction with the upcoming Deepavali…

… I decided to scout around Little India Street in Klang. I passed by the Street every Sunday on the way to church but never once scout around the street for fear of being nab by ah neh-neh (sheesh….). But over the weekend, the street has become so lively with crowds doing shopping for the coming Deepavali Festival.

Some random shots that I’ve taken with my NEW!!!! Sony T-10 which I’ve collage them. But I still prefer the full size view as some of the pics really look awesome.

Icky Food

According to my Indian collegue, those round round thing is very yummy and sweet. The origin is from native of Bangali. The only Indian biscuits I love is the muruku!

Silks & Clothings

Do you know that Punjabi suit is not cheap? A good quality fabric and a bit nicer design can cost you about RM80 (US$21) above. If you are planning to buy a Punjabi suit, do set a budget of Rm100. I tried to get one but failed $$$.

ooOO… look at this bare back sari blouse.

Definitely set the festive mood sexcited.

Fake jewelleries is everywhere.

Look at the beaming face on the little girl. Gosh, most little girls love accessories. I bet if Princess is with me, she will want to have one of those too.

Footside fortune teller is very famous during my younger days.

Can’t believe that they still exist now! Isn’t future is on your own palm and not on the parrot beak?

Weaving of Jasmine flower or Bunga Melur

It was meant to hang across the Hindu deity during prayer and also to beautify their hair after they have bun them.

… and a post usually end with something soothing and relaxing. Neh… not another massage. Indian massage can break your neck bone!

This is sooooooo Malaysian. A tired girl resting on a pile of clothings. We get this scene even in shopping malls. What can I say. Malaysia BOLEH!!!

Would like to extend my wishes to all Hindus readers –

HAPPY DEEPAVALI DAY

and to non Hindus readers –

HAPPY HOOOLIDAYYYY. Yahoooooooooooo!!!

Foot Reflexology

While I was in Penang, I went for my first foot reflexology. Not quite sure if it is Bali or Thai or even Chinese massage cos the owner is a local Chinese who engage Indons reflexologist and using herbs from China. Hmm… nevermind about that.

Firstly, they put something like powders in lukewarm water for you to soak your feet in there.

Within minutes, the powders turn into gel-like and thickens the water. The gel is like “sago”. You know sago? Those tiny white round-round thing in your red bean soup? It also looks exactly like those gel in your baby’s disposable diaper.

As minutes passed, the water gets thicker and thicker.

Then they put in another dunno-what-powder in the gel. Instantly you can feel the water dilute again. So powerful like magic lidat πŸ˜€ .

A Queen ought to do what a Queen needs to do.

Suddenly I felt so pampered. Felt like a Queen!

The real stuff started *jeng, jeng, jeng* with lots of moaning and groaning to set you off some orgasm….

uohhhhhhhhh…

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh………

*biting lips*

*tears rolling down*

SOFTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that’s better………..

Harder…..

HARDER!!!!!!

Oh, nooooooooooooo

Sini sakit, sana sakit (here pain, there pain)

Pelan, pelan dik… (softly, sis)

hehe… I’m just exxagerating the situation. Reflexology is more about health than relaxation. Our feet is divided into reflexes that were linked to other areas and organs of our body. Reflexologist will then use their hands to apply pressure to the feet and working on a specific points. If you felt tearful when they applied the pressure, it could means a certain areas of your body part is having complication for example, digestive disorder (MY MAJOR PROBLEM!!!), back pain, migraine, hormone imbalance, stressful and etc….

If you have not try them, give it a try. It does you good more than harm. Since weekend is around the corner, go get some relaxation and indulge yourself like a King or Queen. Bring along your mom too if you are planning to go and don’t forget to say hi to your mom for me πŸ˜€ .

Sacrifices for Beauty

How often do you go for a facial?Β  Beauticians recommended twice a month or at least once a month.Β  I’m wayyyyyy less than that.Β  Something like once every 4 months or none at all 😳

I have oily skin on my forehead, nose and cheek.Β  They called itΒ  ‘t’Β  junction.Β  These few years, I’ve notice a few problem arises on my facial skin – freakles, stuck oil glands and dehydrated skin *shudder*.Β  All these are sign of getting old.Β  Yes!Β  I’m getting old!!!Β  Don’t even mentioned SKII.Β  A bottle of cleanser is equivalent to my kiddos school fees.

The most common problem I had is stuck oil glands.

Make sure to get rid of the oil bag or else it will grow bigger and of course ugly too.Β  It is a painful procedure but bearable.Β  Hey, there is nothing as painful as labour pain ok.

Fibroid

This is the reason I’m not around the last 2 days.

Touch wood, hor! This is not mine. This belongs to my mom. She just had her fibroid and uterus removed. The picture above is her uterus with both fallopian tubes and ovaries weighing approximately 564gm. The uterus measures 115 x 110 x 70mm. The uterus contains a large submucous fibroid measuring 80mm in diameter.

The thought of developing fibroid or cyst is kinda scary cos one out of five female will get them. I’m thinking in my next life, probably I’ll opt to be a male. I’m leaving all the medical terms to the expert as I do not want to mislead my readers here and you know how bitchy is our gahment. They can sue you and put you in jail, you know!!!

Well, last Friday I was with my Manager to get a few days off so that I can care for my mom as she is staying about 3 hours drive (Penang la) away from where I stay. Out of 6 sisters, only a few of us can cook. So I volunter to cook for her. My Manager praise that I’m a good daughter. I would think otherwise. This is my duty being a daughter to care for her.

When I was on my 3rd confinement, Mom, who is 56y/o then, drove all the way from Sitiawan (which is about 3 hours journey) every Friday just to cook for me. And they left for Sitiawan again on Sunday afternoon. Mom and Dad travel every weekend to my house for the whole month. Well, if my Mom volunter to do that for me, why can’t I?

But I do need to whine about caring for sick patient. Urghhhh!!!! I almost got my temper blown off. It’s not easy aitelyu. But I’m glad to return back to work. I love my job. I love being in the office and clicking away on my puter. *muaks, muaks! kiss, kiss my puter!*

Mid Autumn Festival – Part III

Cute or not this piggy? So cute until I don’t have the heart to eat them o_0.

This was given to us by one of Hubby’s business associates. Thanks AMELIA!!!!! You made my day this morning πŸ™‚ . I was histerical when I open up the box to find rows of cute little piggies. They are all so cuteeeeeee.

Oh, before I forget, this is also another type of mooncake. In my hometown, they put the piggy in a red plastic cage. Last year I managed to buy some of those piggy-in-red-cage, but this time round I hardly see anyone selling them. Hmm… I recalled seeing the red cage in the kiddos toy basket. Will try to rumage thru them tonight and show you guys.

The piggies is so cute and tempted me to camwhore a bit. You know me well. I don’t camwhore. I have 3 models to take over the role πŸ˜‰ . But womennnnn. They have crazy hormones!

Happy Mid Autumn Festival to all.

Remember to call your elders and wish them too. While you are there, say hi to your mom for me. Oh, Simple American can say hi to your mil for me πŸ˜€ .

Mid Autumn Festival – Part II

Lotus paste with salted egg yolk remains my all time favourite. Another one will the Mix Fruits and Nuts. Tho I can’t say it’s my favourite but I have craving to eat at least one piece during the season to satisfy my soul.

I don’t quite figure out why do they named it “Fruits” when I don’t see any fruits in them. Ingredients: Walnuts, Almond, melon seeds, sesame seeds, peanuts, maltose, winter melon sugar, lards and etc… etc… etc… This is the most unhealthy mooncake of all. Very sweet and very high in colesterol! A cup of green tea is the best way to go with this during tea break.

How many of you out there still practise the chinese custom of exchanging gift during festival? I do! My siblings does! Sad to say only a very small minority of my in-laws doesn’t practise that πŸ™ . During my first year of marriage, I used to buy for them but have never get anything back in return. That goes on for about few years before I told hubby he has the worst relatives of all that I’ve known. I know it’s the thought that count but after many years of I-did-not-ask-u-to-buy feedback, I grew tired of it and stop eventually. In Chinese, I always believe that mother plays a very important role to nurture their children. When anything goes wrong, all fingers will point at their mom and not dad. With this, I vow to God that I will continue what my mom taught me and pass it down to my children.

oops… sorry that I carried myself away. Back to the mooncake, I received a package from my sisters (share-share among 2 sisters)

Tupperware version of hamper set. 3 containers- Blue, yellow and red.

A pack of green tea

2 pieces of mooncake

One of them with the word “Tupperware” crafted! So cute can die lidat. Price wise is not that expensive considered it is “Tupperware”. I’ll repeat that again. “T.U.P.P.E.R.W.A.R.E”!!!

I.Am.A.Tupperware.Geek.! Nevermind if I don’t get the mooncake. Just give me Tupperware.

Well, another 1 week to go before the festival end, if you forget, remember to buy a mooncake for the elderly this weekend and don’t forget the lantern too. Have a great weekend ahead and say hi to your mom for me πŸ˜€
