Macro Shot: PNS or dSLR?

After I bought my dSLR, I have not abandon my faithful Sony T-10 (which we called it PNS – ‘Point n Shoot’ camera). One thing about dSLR, the distance for macro shot is about 6 inches away (or more!). With my PNS, I can go as near as 3cm away from the object.

See the result:

Do you think I will invest in Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM macro lens? Nehhhhhhhhhh. I can always go back to my faithful PNS.

Give you a better view:

And the 3y/o is really innocent not knowing what the brown slimy thing is doing on the plants (or she didn’t know there is a brown slimy thing on the plants!).

Well, I couldn’t stop her in time but hey, shutter speed is fast ya 😉 . And you must see the shock on her face when I ask her to take a closer look at the brown caterpillar.

Despite those shots are taken very nicely, I couldn’t help but to shrug because the caterpillar seemed quite geli. Haha.

The Queen says: The one that will make your hands itchy is ‘mao chong’. Got bulu-bulu wan. This one is caterpillar that will turn into a cocoon and later a moth. (I presume moth cos it is brown in colour. haha. I could be wrong tho.)
