Half Yearly Dentist Visit

Do you see your Dentist every 6 months? I do.

The last I went for a wisdom tooth extraction was around May and I’ve just went for another follow up last weekend. This time, the kids are included since Kharsyn is complaining of tooth ache.

Somehow, we was there 30mins earlier than our appointment time but we get to see the dentist only one hour later. Talk about good business! As usual, the two youngest can’t sit still. Before they could turn the reception upside down, the Receptionist asked if they would like to watch cartoon. That save Mummy whole lots of energy to keep the kids quiet and pinned down to the chair.

When I thought the cartoon could be some Mickey Mouse or Tom and Jerry, it turned out to be… a cartoon on oral hygiene.

Isn’t that boring cool! Look at the chair in the dentist’s clinic. It is shaped like a tooth. How cute!

When the Receptionist ask, “Who go first?”

Mummy & Daddy yelled spontaneously, “KHARSYN!”

She stepped on the dentist chair with confidence and no fear at all not knowing what to expect of it. Wait la, wait. Her turn is yet to come. *snigger*

Dr. Jean went on her usual routine and then briefed us on her next procedure. She told Kharsyn that she is going to put “a medicine” on her tooth. Just then, I SAW HER NURSE PREPARING THE NNNNNNEEDLE!

I just have to ask Dr.Jean in Hokkien, “Lu ai ka yi pak jiam?” (You are going to jab her?) She nodded. Oh, boy! Oh, boy! Am I nervous!

She warned Kharsyn before hand that it’s going to be like an ants bite. The procedure took forever to end. I was told by Doctor that it is meant to be like that. *Urghhh… Dr. Jean praise her for being so brave. (Sure la, cos she didn’t know it is a jab)

Next came the drilling.

And the filling.

And a badge and sticker for being brave.

And I went home few hundred Ringgit poorer 🙁
