Scooby Doo & Turkey Talk

Everybody say – SCOOBY DOOBY DDDDDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 😀

Another entry here involving Ikano (psst… do you think I should go claim some loyalty from them since I’m here promoting their shoping complex?)

Did you ever wonder why Cold Storage is the only place selling frozen Turkey?

Just give me the turkey! I WANT MY TURKEY!!!!! Heard some rumours that imported Turkeys is still at the Port waiting for clearance. What took them so long, gawd damnit! Just because they are non halal, what does that got to do with non-Muslim? What is all the fuss with the authority? If it is non-halal just don’t buy them, right? I’m not being racist here but sometime our gahment is imbeciles. Don’t you think so?

Christmas is less than 7 days from now. I don’t have anymore time to scout around for cheaper turkey as I’ve heard the cheapest is RM13 per kg. Cold Storage is selling at RM26 per kg. What to do???!!!! Die die also have to buy. My sisters is complaining about the price too. Dad suggested we had Ostrich instead! Dunno should I laugh or cry 😐 I’ll have to run down to Ikano again this Sunday to grab the Turkey. *sigh… dah la harga petrol sudah naik, toll naik, harga ayam belanda pun naik. ish ish ish….

At the meantime, can someone please tell me why does baby always have to poo at the wrong time and while they are standing?

How you bake the Turkey? Personally, i don’t like Turkey as the meat is too rough to eat.

Well i’ve put my order in for a turkey from Giant, Seri Manjung!!!!! Rm159, I think, or was it RM149!! sigh.. was in a rush because my kid wanted to go to the toilet! lol..

Why is turkey Non-Halal anyway?? is it becoz we use it for Christmas? It’s a bird wat, just like chicken. No ??

The Queen says:  I just paid Rm101 for a 3.8kg bird!  Wow!  Yours must be a big bird huh.  Fyi, to halal-fied a bird, before slaughtering the bird, they must recite some prayer.  Hope I’m right on this.

if the turkey hasn’t been slaughtered in a muslim way, then it’s non-halal. nothing to do with xmas or the meat itself.

i don’t mind turkeys actually – we have it at Thanksgiving and i roast it and stuff it all very traditionally as vin is into the thanksgiving turkey. luckily he thinks xmas is time to go on vacation so no need to cook! whoopeeeeeee!! 😀

i should try to make rendang out of turkey one day, see what happens…

The Queen says:  Ah!  I knew his Q will pop up from you.  Did you know all the turkeys has the halal chop from the US Halal department?  Somehow, there is some controversy going on and Malaysia authority is trying to cook up some storm!

Hmmm…. a very philosophical question, that one. Let’s just say, it might be for LL those times when we were not such good kids ourselves. You know, as a revenge mechanism for grandparents.

Thanks for dropping by. :)… the tower is open to public now.
