Food Allergy

Few weeks ago, daughter had allergic reaction after eating only 2 fishballs.  At the beginning, she had a few blemish on her face and we thought they are some acnes or mosquito bites. We even applied acne lotion on the affected area.  Few hours later, the blemish grew a bigger patch and her body started to have show.  Later on, the Doctor confirmed that it was a food allergic.  She had been eating fishballs for the past 10 years and this is the first time she had allergic.  Can you imagine what 2 fishballs can do to your body?  It could be the preservative in it or… I really don’t know.  I find nowadays food is not safe anymore.  Better eat more green veges.

Oh, wait.  Veges had too much pesticide.  So how? So how!

I met with such situation before too..
I ate big prawns for my past 15 years ,no problem with it,
but on my 15 , I ate a small piece of prawn, then I started to feel itchy at my throat part, then stomach bloated up, later I have red patches all over my body, its like mosquitoes bites and they feel so itchy!

poor Kharsyn! hope getting better liao

allergies are getting commoner because of modern living and our dependance on certain types of chemical substances in the food we eat, the clothes we wear, the toiletries we use etc. My guess would be that Kharsyn got sensitised to certain types of things over a while and then eating the two fish balls triggered an uncontrolled amount of histamine production in her body which developed into hives. Just gotta be careful to manage the intake of certain foods and use of toiletries that could potentially trigger another attack.

Kids are quite sensitive to all this. My daughter also experienced this before after eating sweet sour pork from the restaurant. Dr said maybe is the coloring from the tomato sauce.
