we went Hongkong last Nov too….I think we spent like S$5-6k for everything…..

we loved the food, we ate all day long…

how i wish i could go on budget airline one weekend and eat all the goodies……:)

i am a DIY holiday traveller too! in fact, the last 2 times when i went bangkok & macau/hk with shan leo, its all DIY. we just go with the flow, and need not worry that someone will be waiting for us, or we hv to wake up early every day!!!

in fact, shopping for branded goods in hk is heavenly coz you get the latest designs, and its cheaper. plus, if they have sales, its really a good bargain!!! i love shopping @ hk!

Agree, I’m a DIY person too. No such thing as being dumped at a tourist spot only to be told, “You have 15 minutes to take pictures and walk around” before being herded back onto the bus and driven to some shopping place after shopping place!

Disney is best on DIY, not with a tour
eh, what do i know? i’ve only been to Eurodisney (3 times!)
though in comparison the European costs are a great deal higher than the Far East ones…..

I like DIY too, no need to rush and can take our own sweet time. Like jazz said lo, we need to do more “homework” if DIY.

Exclude the hotel and air fare we spent about RM4k+. *faint*

we spent abt RM5k, exclude air ticket and shopping. almost the same amount like what we spent in Japan last year.

HK is very expensive …. :S

ya i agree, diy better. but some places, it’s better ikut tour a bit..so really depends where u going. DIY gotta do more homework lor hehe..but you can take ur own sweet time follow on schedule, like u say stress free
